My favorite Windows Shortcuts
(Windows-Key) + (D)
Show or hide the desktop.
(Windows-Key) + left arrow or right arrow
Dock selected window to the left or right half of your screen.
(Alt) + (Tab)
Cycle through open windows.
(Control) + ((+) (-) decreases screen
Enlarge the #browser screen.
(Control) + (p)
Print current screen you are on.
(Windows-Key) + (x)
For windows 8 and 10 opens list of #troubleshooting tools..
- Increase text size in browser -
Hold down the Ctrl key and + or - to
increase and decrease the size of text. Ctrl
+ 0 will reset the text.
- Press Alt
to move the cursor into the address
- Press F5
to refresh or reload a web page.
- Press F11
to make the Internet browser screen full
again to return to the normal view.
Ctrl + B to open your Internet
Ctrl + F to open the find box to
search for text within the web page you are
need the http:// portion of a web page
When typing an Internet address you do not need to
type http:// or even www. in the address.
For example, if you wanted to visit All In
One Computer you could just type
allinonecomputer.com and press enter. To
make things even quicker, if you're visiting
a .com address you can type allinonecomputer
and then press Ctrl + Enter to type out the
Clear out Your History filesWhenever you visit a website, it creates
temporary Internet files or "cookies" which
are stored on your computer. Why are they
stored on your computer, well it helps you
access information faster, but can take up
precious computer disk space, which
will slow your computer down.
How to Clear the computer's Internet
temporary files and browsing history. Go to your browser’s settings. In Google
Chrome on a Mac or PC, go to the upper right
hand corner and hit settings, then “Show
advanced settings,” and hit "Clear browsing
data." Or just get ccleaner from here.
